I am a fitness coach, philosophy instructor, and writer. I studied exercise science and religion. I have a bachelor's degree in religion from La Sierra University in Riverside, California. I have a master’s degree in philosophy from Washington State University in Pullman. My thesis is Happiness in Action and Contemplation in Aristotle’s Ethics (August 2011) and published at the Washington State University Library.

I was a guest lecturer and substitute instructor at Washington State University. I taught philosophy (history of philosophy, ethical theory, and logic) at Spokane Community College in Spokane, Washington. I taught reasoning courses at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington.

At 19, I traveled to the Middle East to act in two Christian plays on the Mt. of Olives in Jerusalem and Shepherd’s Field in Bethlehem for a few months. At 21, I traveled to Japan to be a student missionary for a church for a year. At 25, I traveled back to Japan to be a missionary for a church for another year. At 26, I traveled back to Japan to work as an English conversation instructor (separated from the church) for 5 years and write existential essays. At 31, I traveled back to the Middle East to work in a local gym for a few months before coming back to the States and settling in Spokane, Washington. At 50, I received my masters in philosophy.

I have been bodybuilding-fitness training for nearly 50 years since I was 14. I have been a personal fitness coach for 25 years. I am a three-time testicular cancer survivor (2009, 2019, 2021-22). I exercise daily and study and write to experience, to learn, and to grow.

I have written a book on fitness, published in 2021: The Fitness Mindset: 7 Habits For Peak Performance. My philosophy book, Existential Essays For Personal and Spiritual Growth is forthcoming in 2024.
